i couldn't understand why i don't own anything that's blue. then i was promptly told, what's that? what's that? and what's that? i guess all one needs to do is look. :-)
this is my umbrella stand. for my umbrellas. that is also where my long shoe horn goes, among other things. it's right beside the door. hard to see something that you take for granted.
tomorrow is yellow. i have nothing yellow at all anywhere in my household. nothing. i'm pretty sure, i think.

@pandorasecho - you are right. we used to call them 'delft blue', this one being from the netherlands, could be, but i know it's not from delft, just some obscure town in the netherlands. when we came to canada somehow people here refer to the blue and white pattern 'blue willow'. i used to have a dozen or so genuine delft blue knick knacks back in the old country. i left them and my sister sold them :-( thank you, dixie. reading your book.
