i am such an independent person that i prefer to do things on my own, my way, my time. however, i realize from the outset that that is not possible. 'no man is an island' as the saying goes.
for example, i believe in showing appreciation for our past, for our history. i am always in favour of preserving old buildings to remind us where we started from to get to our present on our way to the future.
today, partner and i drove to london to take little jack to a movie and of course to see little ivy jean, too. london has a lot of old buildings and houses and if one who is engaged in photography wants to photograph old buildings and structures without a lot of interfering factors like parked cars and wires, this is an ideal place. the above building was spotted right next to the western fair market.
thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for your kind views and comments; know that i sincerely appreciate them. i shall catch up on yours as soon as we get back to toronto.
@cscecil - your house is older than me?!? :-) i love old buildings, i think they talk in a language i can understand. the new buildings, pffft! they talk like the young people's text messages. thank you, CS!
@claireuk - thank you, claire. this town is an old town and there are a lot of old houses and structures. most of them had had plumbing updated, thankfully. the british did a very good job when they came here.
