rosemary blue by summerfield

rosemary blue

"Don't bring your flowers to the church yard;
Only the past is waiting there.
You should be out somewhere, forgetting;
Wearing those flowers in your hair.
Dry your eyes, Rosemary Blue;
Take a look around.
There's a world outside that waits for you.
Live your life, Rosemary Blue;
Put your lonely tears away.
Wait an' see; there'll come a day
I'll be with you."

i'm not sure if these are rosemary flowers because the flowers look different than what i know of rosemary flowers. the leaves look like and smell like rosemary, though.

this photo is for my 'busy body' friend CS @cscecil who's always on the go, who's always willing to help anyone with a smile.

thank you for your kind views and comments; i sincerely love and appreciate them.

update: i have been kindly told that this is a kind of lavender (spanish, probably). thank you.
beautiful flower and shot!!

Beautiful colours. These remind me of a variety of lavender that people grow here in South Africa. Will look it up and send you a link

From what I can find out, this could be a Spanish Lavender. The following link gives a short description and some pictures showing the differences between English, French and Spanish Lavender - http://www.awebstart.com/~mareli/growherbsinfo/lavender-herb-types
