i think these are called african daisies. the street planters are filled with these and similar flowers and pansies, all in different colours, but i like these ones.
i was actually thinking of henri @henrir when i was looking at the daisies; it was because i passed by a store with freshly baked goods and the pecan pie caught my eyes. henri had photographer her pecan trees and i've been having thoughts of pecan pies. but i ended up buying a butter tart though.

Love these daisies! They grow like weeds here in the spring, all along the roadside and in farm fields. Also a lovely plant to have in the garden as they require very little maintenance and flower year after year!
