after more than a week of high and/or extreme heat alert, we were once again battered, albeit briefly, by a storm. i had a dinner out with two of my office friends so we stayed underground to keep away from it. coming home, on the subway train, the setting sun illuminating the angry sky was so surreal. coming out of the subway station, this is what i saw. i would've loved for partner to have seen this as he's now as obsessed as i am in capturing a truly fantastic sunset. to the southwest of this view was total darkness, it was unbelievable.
nature is beautiful until it unleashes its fury on us. luckily, we hardly ever experience tornadoes or earthquakes here in toronto and we are all thankful for that. of course we have that flooding from two weeks ago, but all in all, we are still lucky.
Nature is (mostly) beautiful! It is ALWAYS to be respected. For sure. I am glad your other half has gotten to love the sunsets as you do! This one is a beaut!
Hi! I am your Get Pushed partner for this week! I would like to see a motion shot - a pet moving, a child jumping - something that is full of motion, with a fast shutter speed. If that makes sense :)
@roth - no, i was having dinner with my officemates so i didn't get home until after 9 (the camera clock is screwed up) and this was all i got to see. i'd have loved to photograph the mammatus clouds. i saw them two years ago during a blue jays game but never seen it again. thank you, sue.
@pocketmouse - motion. fast shutter speed. okay. probably do-able. i'm mulling the challenge i have to give you. like, how else do you challenge an excellent photographer? :-) give me a day, kid, and i'll be right over. thank you.
Thanks so much for sharing
