"Photography's dependence on light is more complete than that of any other medium...light is necessary for exposing an image, but also for perceiving the subject...Between the moment of perception and the moment of exposure, a photographer relies on light - its intensity, quality, hue and direction to organize the picture space."
- photography and the art of seeing, freeman patterson, 4th ed. 2013
hah! got me a web sans spider. yay! actually, i made him move when i accidentally sneezed and i wrecked a portion of his little mansion by the hostas at the parkette nearby. so he sought solace underneath one of the hostas flowers. at any rate i needed to take this angle to get the web in focus without the sun glaring in my eyes. wait a minute, maybe the darn thing went in my hair!!! arghh!
Well done! A perfect illustration of Patterson's words because without the light behind this, you'd never see it and then that spider really would be in your hair!!
@olivetreeann - yaiks!!!!!! :-) thank you, ann.
