that's what he told me as he passed by. i said, 'you must be dying inside that get up of yours!" it was, after all, a scorching 35 degrees in downtown toronto where the fan expo was happening. with humidex probably around 39 degrees, i think he was toasting himself inside. probably was about to take off the hoodie when he spotted he was being photographed.
of course i didn't realize that there was a fan expo on the weekend. friday afternoon, going home from the lakefront, i thought i was just hungry (i didn't have lunch) when i saw batwoman - it was a batman with very hefty chest so batwoman it would have been - and a black wonder woman at the subway station. so yesterday i went downtown and briefly sat on a ledge on the sidewalk near the convention centre and aimed my camera at everyone passing by. whenever i would see anyone leering at me, i would put the camera away from my face and try to cross my eyes. that usually make them look away and i'm free to shoot the bastards.
i shot a few more, but you get mr. spidey today, he deserves it. plus i really suck at street photography although i'm on the way out to try some more. which also shows i am a sucker for punishment and disappointment.
What a great capture....love the SC on this!! This fan expo sounds like the Comicon in San Diego where the streets are filled with people in costumes!!
love the idea of street photography, actually hate doing ti.
