this entry for week 10 of the 52-week challenge, the prompt of which is "my hometown", has no business being in the main album which is geared for the rainbow colours this month. since i had already posted the CN tower in february and march, i am showing you another popular spot of my hometown of toronto. this is the mural at the back of the gooderham building aka flatiron building. i have posted photos of this mural over the years and methinks this is the first time that i am posting it in black and white.
some facts:
construction started in 1881; completed in 1882
it has five floors
it is of romanesque style of architecture
the mural is always featured in the city's promotional brochures
it is the picture of the old building directly opposite.
I like this northyesque rendition but feel I have seen it so before. If not from you then somone else! Fabulous especially this time of year when the trees are bare and allow us to see it whole!
