makati city is a municipality south of manila and is the country's designated financial district. here you will find a proliferation of five star hotels, state of the art commercial and office buildings, high end department stores, exclusive subdivisions where the rich habitates, like the forbes park, and the worst traffic congestion in the country. this used to be my former haunt when i still lived and worked here.
the place certainly changed in the thirty or so years that i had been away. there are more buildings and they're much taller. a number of condominium buildings had been built over the years, including the asia tower. my friend Corazon, who owns the jala-jala resort, also owns a unit where i took this photo from.
