these two motorcycles just zoomed in in front of our car. daring young so-and-so's. in manila you will find parking spaces dedicated to motorcycles. i'm pretty sure i have taken a photo of one but i still have to find it. but if you want to beat the traffic in manila (which today wasn't so bad, it being sunday and still early in the morning) you're best to ride a motorcycle as you can just indiscriminately zoom about the small spaces between cars, trucks and buses. which also causes a lot of accidents involving these motorists.

there were so many opportunities to take slice of life shots. for example, a man sleeping on his motorcycle, literally on top! or two men sleeping on the sidewalk, one of them had his hand inside the other's pants. or a man sitting on a very small bench talking on his cellphone. or a woman cooking rice on the sidewalk while watching TV hooked up illegally to the wires overhead. or a man just walking then suddenly stopping, facing the concrete fence and proceeding to pee. but alas, this is one place where you (make that i) can't just fish your camera out and take a photo. if they see you, they can either become violent or ask for money. either way, there's the possibility of trouble resulting from that and i wasn't prepared to get hurt where no ambulance could get through the heavy traffic.
Goodness so dangerous, you'd have to have your wits about you for driving. So pleased you didn't take the other shots, your description covers well and you remain safe that is the important thing
The trials of street photography. I doubt I would be hauling out my camera if there was even a hint of someone not being happy about having their picture taken or someone demanding money. I'm nervous taking street shots, without any of those things happening!
