three-legged dog by summerfield

three-legged dog

i spotted this very pretty dog when partner and I were at the beaches. she's running and playing on three legs. partner thought that the leg had been amputated but as we watched her run around i made out her leg inside her red wrap. her owner would throw the ball for her to get, she would run to get it then would sit for a long time and refused to give the ball back. she tentatively came to me to show me her ball after partner played with her for a few minutes. but overall she's a very well-behaved dog with a great attitude. never heard a yelp or bark all through out.

there's an eclipse happening in a few hours but i won't be able to see it because it's suppose to be raining and (get this) snowing. today we reached a high of plus 21 degrees and we're supposed to have an overnight low of -3.

on the subject of eclipse, as tonight is a full moon, weird and crazy things start to happen, and it would be more so with the full lunar eclipse. i could hear sirens non stop since we came back from watching a movie. I'm thinking if i can't watch the eclipse, maybe i should park meself outside the ER of the hospital near us and take pics of casualties as they come and go. nah, i'll just go to sleep as the happy pill is slowly taking effect anyway.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that i appreciate them a lot.
I wonder why she had the leg bound in the wrap? Beautiful dog.

@cheribug - i think the owner said she had an operation on that leg and she's not supposed to use it for a while. thank you, my cheribug.

Dogs are just so resilient. She looks so happy and not bothered by her predicament at all.

super picture and quite cheering, hope you may meet the dog again sometime and know how it gets on - we all love a "lame dog" story ;0)

Animals, like human beings, can be quite resilient when they have to. I like the collage and the surprise of seeing the dog playing and running on 3 legs. Nice job!

Fun pics! I laughed at your words though!
We were all clouded over and could not see the Blood Moon at all. I put the blame of some of the crazy and unfortunate deaths around the world to blame from the Blood Moon.
Sitting out of an Emergency Room taking pictures... people might not be so kind to laugh, but I sure think it's a great idea. If you were closer, I'd go with you.

Happy Easter - enjoy the long(er) weekend!
