we passed by so many gardens and parks with lots of marygolds, chrysanthemums, petunias and other colourful flowers in all sizes. partner is in love with the crystal ball and finds all the nice garden arrangements so i could photograph them using the crystal ball.
it's an attention-getter, mind you. in one garden, a little boy, about four or five, cried because he wanted to have a ball like mine. i tried to appease him by asking him if i could take his picture but he didn't want to, he wanted his dad's camera and my crystal ball. spoiled little brat!
in this particular garden, a young guy approached partner to ask what this was and what was it used for. he and his wife were sitting on a bench not far from us and they were quite intrigued by it. he said he had bought a dslr a year ago and just now beginning to use it properly. now his wife wants to learn how to use the camera, too, if they would get a little crystal ball!
there was a group of japanese tourists and partner said they were all taking photos of me as i was setting up, and again, he was asked what it was for.
This is such a gorgeous photo!
Now, I'm your Get Pushed partner again this week, you've had me thinking about a challenge for you after I received your creative one!
After some pondering I've come up with a challenge for you, this week I would like you to capture a photo of 'evolution.' (You can blame my science classes for that one!)
The interpretation of evolution is completely up to you, you can take it quite literally or create something silly. Have fun! :)
@bill_fe - ayayay! you're asking me a technical question! i suppose it's a macro lens just because it says 'macro' on that gold strip around it. it's my everyday lens, a tamron 18-200mm.
