of course, most everyone is familiar with this quote. it's from the movie "forest gump".
i went to buy a pair of running shoes. i passed by the godiva chocolatier and got a tin of belgian truffles. the salesgirl remembered me as i have bought from her quite a few times and she asked who the lucky recipient is this time. she got a little excited when i told her i was just going to photograph it. the deal was $15 for the tin and i could stuff it with six different kinds of truffles. i asked if she could do it for me and she just shoved as many as the tin could hold, the lid was popping up and wouldn't close so she had to tape it. 47 shots and 7 dead truffles later, i couldn't take it anymore i just called it a wrap and settled for this shot.
want some chocolate? they're goooooood!
and because i consider chocolate a good thing, i consider it a blessing that i can afford to buy it. hence tagging this for the weekly theme.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Wonderful! Chocolate is indeed a good thing.....unless it happens to be right after Halloween, and there are too many bite size candies still hanging around calling your name in the middle of the night! ;-))
Such a wonderful treat. I love Godiva chocolates but we don't get them here. Whilst my husband was working in Holland he always used to bring some home. He always got doubles of what went in so there would be no arguments! A brilliant capture for the theme this week.
@panthora - ahhhh! that's why those chocs were calling "osia! osia!" tee-hee! thank you, lady.
@maggiemae - thank you, maggiemae. no, i just ate a total of seven pieces during the shoot. i unwrap a piece and it automaticall goes in my mouth! :-)
@salza - belgian chocolates are to die for! thank you, sally.
@francoise - they're still sitting on the table, waiting for me to assault them. thank you, francoise.
@frankhymus - what a treat! i got a visit from you. i'd give you a chocolate but you're quite far. thank you, frank.
@grammyn - you, my dear, are one of my 365 blessings. when we have a meet up, you can be sure a much bigger tin of these chocolate would be in hand for you. thank you, katy.
@summerfield I totally agree we should. Are you working right now? I'm planning to meet up with Cathy @cathrinemitch some time very soon. I just have a few training days and appointments to get out of the way first.
I KNOW from experience how good these are!! And I just ate the pretty little red petal chocolate today- the last one out of my purple box. )o: But it was sooooooo good! Great take on Forrest. You poor thing having to eat 7 whole chocolates to get this shot. Life is really tough!
Love it. I'm not sure how I missed it earlier, but glad I found it. I had this as an option, but forgot about it when it came time for me to take another photo for our weekly theme.
