artist challenge - in the style of hiroshi sugimoto

this is the main building at the distillery district with the morning sun on half of it and the other in the shadow of the annex building.

this is for the current artist challenge; hiroshi sugimoto is the featured artist. the actual photo is in focus and i have to process this in ribbet to 'soften' the image to get to the style of sugimoto.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated. still doing taxes so my only chance to comment on yours is when i have some free time at the office. i'm getting there slowly, albeit at a snail's pace, mind you.

Great minds think alike! I just did my "in the style of Sugimoto" architecture shot today too! It's interesting that you took the shot in focus and then softened it. I deliberately took the shot out of focus to mimic his style. I wonder which way he did it? Your building is much more interesting than mine! Good job!

I missed this challenge, but the photos I have seen on this site emulating his style (this one included) have been very intriguing.....love these out of focus architecture shots!! Yours is beautiful in its softness, the textures and the shadows!
