cloudy and grey in the afternoon, but in the horizon, the sun was almost a no-show, except for an indiscernible pink. but as it sank low, it manifested itself, the perfect circle, grand and majestic, turning from delicious pink to fiery red.
that dragon-shaped cloud didn't change shape all those while. i took shots until the sun disappeared low in the horizon, the palest pink sky in its wake. i went back inside, folded my tripod and was about to walk away when it seemed i heard a voice in my head. "turn around" it said. when i did, this was the view. all in a matter of a few seconds.

might you, kind folks, think about putting in an entry for the artist challenge that i'm hosting? here's the link: http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/27821/new-artist-challenge-larry-towell
This is so awesome Vikki! Beautiful. And the artist you picked for the challenge is amazing - I meant to reply to you post - his photos are poignant. I've never done that challenge, but I might give it a go...
A beautiful catch of the sun. The colors are fabulous too. Always great to see how magnificent it is when it reveals itself through the cloudy sky like this.
So gorgeous!! You captured the red blazing sun so well. My young mind looked at your title and thought of the anime cartoon called Dragon Ball Z. Haha.
