mai tai is my favourite beach drink. it is rhum based with a dash of orange liqueur and lime juice, although i prefer it with pineapple juice and curaçao.
when my old aunt (very distant) who lives in new jersey took my sister and me to a caribbean cruise, we joined a 'name that song and movie contest'. between my sister and myself, we just kicked the asses of everyone in the lounge. every time i got a correct answer, i'd down a mai tai and the piano player was quite amused. 'tis a good thing i only made 12 correct answers out of 20 as my sister took care of the other 8. yet, i still made it to our morning run around the ship.

Beautiful capture. I like pineapple in mind too. Much sweeter than orange juice. I am impressed you were able to make the morning run after all those correct answers. Smile.
I'm going to learn a fair few recipes this week. I do like the sound of this one, but certainly couldn't manage 12, even without seeing the next morning.
