extremely busy today at work. so busy i had my lunch at 3 and i'm just having my snack of one gala apple and it's almost 7!
second day of the flash of red. today we're doing shapes. i was sorting out my reference binder and this thing fell off. i left it on the floor and occasionally glanced at it thinking what can i do with that thing? one time i almost stepped on it. after i logged off the work computer, i played with it with the camera. it's so red i almost wanted it to be my flash of red, but i admit it's too early for that. mayhap it would make another appearance in two weeks to show its true colour. or may not.
there's talk of a big snow dump for toronto and today since before noon, there was wet snow. good thing i did a bit of walking earlier, just the half of what i normally walked because the ground was quite icy. it wasn't very cold but the light was so iffy it was difficult to ascertain whether the sparkle on the ground was ice or just plain wet. until i noticed that i was so keyed up and couldn't relax my shoulders whilst walking so i crossed to the other side and took a bus ride back. there will definitely be no walking tomorrow or friday.
and just in case we'd have that big snow dump and i'd get stranded, i ordered two 36 x 48 gallery canvas (ugh!). i noticed that when someone's at the door, they'd look past over my head. i didn't realize that they could see a major part of the living room so i blocked the view with two easels and two of my bigger paintings. which weren't enough so i ordered the thing and will paint if there will be no power and no internet, at least i have painting to do. a major undertaking, for sure.
