missionary

it's the first word that came to mind so if you're a bit on the prudish side, i apologize.

we're emphasizing lines for today, and at the risk of being repetitive, and i didn't want the cliché leading lines that most would be thinking about, i opted for the forks. they're stainless steel but because the light is coming from below and a tad faster shutter speed, the forks look black-ish.

this morning, i foolishly braved the cold to do my morning walk. didn't get farther than the driveway. the abundance of wet snow last night just made the ground very slippery. now i may be foolish but i'm not stupid. so back to the abode.

the large canvases were delivered this morning and i realized the metal easels i use would not hold them. so i put on my big girl pants and opened the box of the wooden easel (this is the kind of easel that actually is made to use with large framed canvases) that's been sitting in the corner since october and started to assemble it. i'm half finished. if not for the back that suddenly acted up, i'd have finished the darn thing. i already know what to paint, i just hope i don't lose the mojo when i'm finished assembling it. 🤣
A perfect title :-) A great focus and a nice shine on the bottom fork.

@grammyn - i'm looking for a second hand piano. how many keys does a normal piano have? i keep seeing 60 something, i thought that's not many.

A creative and new twist on the fork photo for lines. You definitely took it out of the box! I like the high contrast too.

@summerfield I think most pianos have 88 but if you are not going to do serious classical music you could probably get by with less. Most music is in the middle range so you probably wouldn't notice 10less on each end

Aaahaahaaa!!!! I can't help thinking of the Italian man who went to Malta. And one day he told the waiter in the restaurant "I wan'a fork on the table". An' da waiter said: "You better not fork on da table!"

Can't wait to see some Summerfield paintings.

Awesome shot!!!

@joemuli - i don't want anymore online accounts. i could hardly manage 365 with painting and writing and reviewing books plus the work that actually pays money. 😂 your artworks are amazing, the photos alone deserve an exhibition in the national gallery.
