We did two hikes today, a little one cut short by the discovery of poison ivy and a much longer one over looking a large valley floor. This is from the first hike, where there were lots of gold coloured leaves but not many red ones. I like the red ones, don't get me wrong, but the yellow ones en masse really give off a warm feeling and that's what we felt here ... until the poison ivy ... lol. This is about 6 or 7 km from home.
Kala still sticks pretty close to Barry and I sure hope that continues! She's almost 4 months old now. Reba is the little white spot to Kala's right, almost out of the pic.
Many thanks for dropping by. Your comments and favs ... they're golden too.
Absolutely love this photo. So calm and peaceful... wish there was somewhere I could go to see this around my neck of the woods... nevermind the pun. ;0)
I love the feeling of this and the gold glow. The leaves look like they may turn from green directly to brown here so I will have to cross my fingers and see if we get any color.
@aikimomm@crickle1969 Thanks so much for the kind words and favs. Wow, I"m very happy ... and will be even happier if I haven't gotten poison ivy from the dogs ... they didn't exactly stay on the road all the time. Thanks too for the tip about the theme shot ... I totally forgot.
I love, love, love this one! The light on those golden leaves is like balm to my soul (we've had five days of gloomy clouds!). What a beautiful place to walk!
This does have a warm feeling to it. I'm glad you mentioned Reba off to the side or I would have missed her. So nice that they stay so close to your husband. It's easier to enjoy a walk in the great outdoors if your dogs stay nearby and don't need a lot of recall commands. I used to love hiking with our first dog off the leash, but our new pups (rescues) are not trained well enough for that. Yet....
Can't really explain why this touches me so much, but it does. The little dogs out to his side, his hands in pocket, enjoying a stroll through that gorgeous golden light. Nice. a fav.
Does poison ivy bother everybody or only people that are sensitive to it?
