I'll sneak in one more bird shot and hopefully have something different for you tomorrow. We have company coming so today will be a busy day.
This is yet again another Black Capped Chickadee. I like the back view for a change. It's a lame pic to post on my birthday so I'll throw in a link to the Chickadee's songs for those of you who have never heard them. The best known "chick-a-dee-dee-dee" sound is at the 14 second point of the recording. http://www.birdjam.com/birdsong.php?id=12
I love this view, Anne - you can see all the details in its feathers! We used to sing a song in elementary school ...chickadee, dee, dee, dee - in the evergreen tree.... Do you know that one? Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Hi, Thanks for that link and the picture! Happy Birthday Anne.
When we lived in Ottawa we would sometimes call them the "Bru-cey" birds because it sounded like they were calling my husband at 5 in the morning!
It's your birthday today? One day before my daughter! First of all I want to wish you the best birthday ever...you have become such a faithful friend and follower here on 365 and I love all your photos. I especially love birds and will give this little chick-a-dee a fav for all the detail of the feathers from the back and just the way he's posing.
@sunnygreenwood I’m sorry if my picture has upset you it is not my intention to upset anyone! So I have removed it
I just wanted to portray how I am feeling from day to day, pain is one of the hardest things I have to deal with and as you quit rightly said there are people close to it and I don’t want to put ideas in their heads.
I’m also grateful for all the lovely comments and support that you and the people of the 365 project have shown me, I love Photography it’s a great way for me to express this year of my life all be it sometimes a troublesome one. Kindest wishes to you and your family Steve.
Happy Birthday! It is not a lame picture. It is great closeup capture and once again you can see his eye which is more than I can say for my Chickadee pictures.
great shot ~ this little Chickadee blends right in with all the sunflower hulls ;-) Hope you had a Happy Birthday, Anne ~ hope the year ahead is filled with many more happy days, too =)
