Grey Wagtail by susiemc

Grey Wagtail

This little bird was at the side of the waterfall that we went to on the 6th September (Pistyll Rhaeadr) . Wagtails are difficult to photograph because they never stop moving. My learned friend, Pamela, thinks this one's a female.
Such a beautiful capture, Sue ! I have never seen a grey wagtail ,but if it is as active as its black and white cousin then you are to be commended for such a clear shot !

Thank you Beryl. Yes, they are just as active and an additional problem is that you can never get close. The grey ones don't seem to be as tame as the pied ones

A truly excellent shot. Haven't seen a bird in our garden for ages. It must be too hot.

I've only seen one of these before - such pretty birds. This is a lovely capture

Great shot... don't think I've ever seen this bird before (def not in my garden !) like the way it camouflages into the ray of light

Beautiful misnamed birds! I guess yellow wagtail had already been taken though!
