I was out at 6.15 a.m. taking the picture on the left then about an hour later I took the one on the right just before the moon disappeared below the horizon.
It's a bit hit and miss when I take pictures of the moon. My camera is on automatic and I just hold it in my hand. I really must get to grips with the manual settings and my tripod (which I got for Christmas and haven't used yet).
Both fab photos Sue. I particularly like the one on the right because for me the tree adds interest and gives a sense of perspective and makes the moon look huge.
