Frog Spawn - It must be Spring!!

Every year the frogs deposit huge quantities of frog spawn in what we call the Bog Pond. Unfortunately it isn't really a proper pond. It's always wet and water collects and creates a pond in wet weather but then the water drains away. Every year the frogspawn has to be transferred to the 'proper' pond in another part of the garden. It would be much easier if the frogs deposited it in there in the first place
Ooh dear the frogs are such creatures of habit !! -- but sounds as if they are nit bright enough to realise the spawn is moved to a better place --I don't suppose they have any parental instincts - once they have deposited the spawn --that's the end of things as far as they are concerned !

No kidding?! I would have had no idea what this was. Such an interesting story. Aren't animals interesting in their ways of doing things "their way"?

We don't have a pond, but we do have a lot of frogs, they live under the shed, its a mystery as to where they deposit the spawn.
Great shot, Spring is on the way hooray!

@beryl @aglennc @shepherdmanswife @happysnaps @oldjosh @opticlens @craig3f2 @foxes37 @susie1205 Thank you all for commenting on this rather disgusting photo. The frog spawn has now all been transferred to the 'proper' pond which doesn't dry up.
