We (i.e. Chris) went to the garden centre this morning to get some bags of manure and compost to put on top of the topsoil and then I planted seeds. I've planted beetroot, spinach, chard, lettuce and radishes. Watch this space!
All very neat it is too! Can’t believe how little clothes you have on, it’s a chilly wind up here. I sat in the garden & was quite cold even in the sun.
@happypat It was hot and sunny here Pat, very hot in fact. Please tell Harry that the raised beds don’t have a floor, they just sit on the earth. While researching raised beds I’ve leaned that raised beds don’t have a floor, planters do, or alternatively, if it doesn’t have a floor it’s a raised bed, if it does have a floor it’s a planter. Every day is a school day 😂😂.
@susiemc Ah thank you Sue. Our raised beds don’t have a floor either but ours are shallower than yours so just wondered if yours had a bottom....didn’t think it was likely but was just checking. Lucky you with the weather, it seems ages since it was warm enough to sit out here.
It looks like you will have a wonderful garden in these raised beds! Our garden is also mostly raised beds, but we are rebuilding them and making them into wicking beds so we don't have to water.
