This single flower is on a small tree which we brought with us when we moved here nearly 5 years ago. We planted it in the front garden which is open i.e. there is no wall or fence. Unfortunately during the first spring that we were here rabbits ate all the branches that they could reach, which was most of them. Chris eventually moved the poor little tree into the back garden which has a fence making it difficult for rabbits to get to the plants. The tree is still small but it now looks very healthy and this year it's produced a flower.
