Cloisters at Aberglasney Gardens by susiemc

Cloisters at Aberglasney Gardens

Yesterday I went on an outing to Aberglasney Gardens and Mansion near Carmarthen in West Wales. I will post more pictures showing the actual gardens but these cloisters form two sides of what is known as the cloister garden in front of the mansion. I've never seen anything like this in any garden, ever, but Aberglasney is a bit unusual.
So lovely & so much history. Who walked these flagsā€¦..you can imagine the softly swishing habits of nuns or clergy. The long arched passage is stunning!
