Black Headed Gull

I know these gulls are very numerous but it does seem odd to see them on a small lake in Llandrindod Wells, a small town a long way from the sea. They are rather smart aren't they.

They may be numerous in your part of the world Sue, but I've never seen one before. He looks quite dapper :)

@merrelyn I think they're the most common gull and you see them anywhere there's a large expanse of water. They're very noisy but I find them very photogenic. Thank you for commenting.
