These are some quite sad times at present. So many of my good friends are having all sorts of relationship breakups, stress, anxiety, depression, financial problems and serious health issues.. There is little anyone can do other than try not to judge, not to take sides and be supportive of all parties concerned.
At times I catch myself feeling quite guilty and embarrassed that I am quite so happy healthy and financially secure.
However if it is any consolation to those who are struggling with difficult situations and seemingly insurmountable problems, things were not always this way for me.
20 years ago I walked away from a disastrous relationship with £5 in my pocket and the clothes I stood up in. I was declared bankrupt, I had no job, nowhere to live and it was only a friend offering to let me crash on his sofa that prevented me from having to sleep on the street.
Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom and reach that point of "nothing left to lose" before you can find your true path and start building the life you really want.
Stay strong guys. Things do get better. I promise.

Wonderful image...Your story is one that sounds all too familiar. I am fortunate like you. However, I feel no guilt because of all of the hard work and many years I dedicated to my career to have what I have now.
