Chicago's Sketchfest has an afternoon performance by kids 8 - 12. Yesterday, after the performance the kids were waiting to be interviewed. I shot Ellie (age 10) sitting on the carpet in the lobby. Today I played with an editing program to remove the color from the carpet for greater contrast with the shoes.
I love the contrast of the red slim shoes and the fluffy white legs! "Aspiring" fits well because it's clear that these are not real toe shoes yet . . . practice shoes or play shoes to practice in! Nice of the theatre to cooperate with gray carpet in the lobby for background.
