Today's word (Mull Over March) is bubbles, which started my thinking. Then, there is a new challenge on technique with the focus for the first one on low-key. And, a bouquet of lilies Jim brought home is in full bloom with absolutely huge flowers. Plus, I had half a bottle of cream soda that was left over from the roses shots, and was likely to go flat any minute. So, my shot for today is a combination of the low-key and bubbles idea, drawing on one of the lilies that sacrificed itself for the good of photography (or photographer) and a now-empty bottle that can be recycled and out of the house. If you have time, it looks much clearer in the largest size.
Taffy, this is stunning! Fav! Just the simple beauty of the large flower draping over the edge of the low dish is terrific. Then the pretty glass and bubbles in the vase, lighting, composition, favityfavity!
@ness50@timrox@anwan Thanks Vanella, Tim, and Annette for the fav (or, I love yours, Annette -- favityfavity -- will have to use that!). It was fun to actually plan out the shot and think about what things should go together as my flowers in the past were always just the flower itself or some macro view. So, I do appreciate the special call-out.
@danielwsc Thanks Daniel! Low key is becoming one of my favorite types of shots to compose. @heidit Thanks Heidi. The bubbles are fun and so unpredictable!
