This was my favorite photo from the photo walk with Daniel and Annette on Saturday night. We had just finished watching and taking photos of the fireworks over Navy Pier and were walking toward an area to catch a cab home. We had to stop and take a few more shots. I would have posted it instead of the Lake Michigan shot, but I thought Daniel or Annette may have wanted to use theirs (we all have very similar versions). I processed today as I'd set WB on florescent by mistake so did the adjustments today, but no HDR or other processing -- this is what it actually looked like. This is one of my favorite spots in the city, day or night. You get here by following the lakefront walking path and turning west at the river, just south of Navy Pier. The tall building at the end is Trump Tower, one of the city's tallest (surprise, surprise) buildings.
I'm squeezing in as many Chicago shots as I can because after this weekend, I'll be living in northern Michigan for a few months on a small island in Lake Michigan -- the antithesis of Chicago.
Another great night shot! You are rocking these! How exciting to be headed to island life. Just think of all the wonderful photos you will capture there, too!
Absolutely gorgeous! This is a wonderful night shot, Taffy. Chicago is so lovely at night. And crowded this week, I am sure, for the National Restaurant Association Convention.
Excellent image. Love all that reflected colour. I'm jealous of your ability to go to a small island for soooo long! Sounds like bliss and I look forward to your photos :)
