Junko @jyokota and I are in New York and had a great photo walk tonight with Michael @michaelelliott and Adam @adamj along the East River, looking across to Manhattan and up-river to the beautiful bridges that make up so many iconic New York views. We were intrepid, ignoring frozen fingers, toes, and ears -- Michael and Adam serving as our guide for the best spots to place our tripods. We had a warm-up break for pizza and were back at it for a bit more til a taxicab looked too inviting and we all headed to our respective homes for the night. I'll be posting additional photos, I'm sure, throughout the month. I loved the colors in the water on this one -- and the way the bridge soars so high above the skyline. Thanks, Michael, for the advice and a great evening!
For another shot taken about 10 yards toward the bridge, see @jyokota 's posting for today - http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2014-02-10.
And to my other 365 friends, thank you for your views and wonderful comments about the happy tiger enjoying his lunch. It was weird to see a tiger hanging out in the snow! But nice to see him not in a cage!

@michaelelliott Thanks Michael, we had such a great time! You're a perfect host! And it was nice to get to know Adam. We look forward to returning the favors with you in Chicago sometime!
Beautiful night shot of the bridge and lucky you to be in NYC! One of the greatest cities for photo ops, not to mention theater and fabulous food! Have fun!
It is on my bucket list to visit New York and to take a photo like this iconic image. I'll get there one day..I hope. Absolutely superb image FAV +++++ for me.
Hi Taffy, I'm so glad you had a good time with us in the freezing Brooklyn night :) You were sucha deligh and I'm happy to know you. I'm sure we will continue to share 365 exchanges now and again. Be well and enjoy NY!
Well that didn't take to long start you adventure in NY. Great framing of the skyline with that magnificent bridge. The colors pop and the water looks like glass.
Love your pov, lighting, soft water, reflections and ... the whole comp! :)
How on earth could I be jeaulous of your photo walk with Adam and Michael? ;)
@taffy I hope you had the chance to visit the Jacques Torres chocolate factory nearby. There's a section of Brooklyn known as DUMBO: Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. It's sandwiched between the two bridges, and there are some great eateries there, too.
@lisay We were in the area, but only at night when we did the photo walk. We ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant I think toward the South end of the park. Once the construction is done, that is going to be an amazing area!!
