Junko & I have begun a landscape workshop on Hawaii (aka Big Island). Color has not been plentiful for sunset last night or sunrise this morning, but it's created interesting opportunities to figure out compositions that aren't so obvious. This was taken facing northeast with the ocean to my left, from a promontory at Onomea Bay. Accessed via crossing a small creek -- very wet sandals that don't seem to want to dry in this climate!
Given 4:00 a.m. wake-ups and activity throughout the day/evening, comments from me are unlikely in return but I am planning to try to post one image from each day (hard to choose, as there are 3 - 4 shoots a day) as time permits - so no worries re commenting here. Thanks, as always, for your visits.
Such a beautiful capture Taffy!! Love the misty water!! Hope you have enjoyed your course? What a fabulous place to go to learn about photography - spoilt for choice I should think!! Fav!
Super shot! I am looking forward to catching up with you. I am back in Chicago on the 10th, will email you later re OHC, still set for Evanston on Saturday and downtown on Sunday?
@ukandie1 Safe travels back...yes, still on for the OHC, but my brother and sister-in-law will be in town (this is a good thing, of course). My guess is SIL will be working and brother will be interested in joining us if that's okay.

You using a 'travel' DSLR? :)
Just like a pro...
Taffy Two Cameras... :))
It looks great and I'm guessing the crop sensor works well for certain shots as you instantly get the extra length.
