River View by taffy

River View

Taken this weekend on the Michigan Avenue bridge looking west, into the sun. It's been nice having a few days of sun and getting outside.
Great cityscape capture.. Great choice in b&w..

I know right where you are. I saw this from the bridge and from the water. Love those crazy buildings. I head back in the 80s a car drove out of it into the river!

Love the ever changing sky line. Just think when you first started on 365, the building at Wolf Point did not exist!

I see round buildings on the right and square on the left! I wonder if they were built like that on purpose
February 14th, 2017
Excellent shot, great processing...and @gigiflower, a lot of buildings are indeed built on purpose ;)

@graemestevens I thought there were usually built on a concrete slab!! HAHAHAHAHAHA I'm so funny :)
February 14th, 2017
@gigiflower I'd type a reply but I'm too busy laughing. Oh wait...I just typed a reply. I guess I wasn't laughing that much :))

@graemestevens I'm still laughing!

I have always enjoyed those circular buildings... so rhythmic and unusual, compared to the straight lines and edges of the other structures. Enjoy the sun! :)

Incredible picture and perspective.

Another one of your excellent cityscapes that I enjoy so much. You've got such a great eye for the wonderfully varied architecture of your city. The contrast between the ice-cream cone stacks building on the right and the straight lines and right-angles of the other buildings makes for a very interesting photo.
February 14th, 2017
@gigiflower Should be more of it.
February 14th, 2017
A gorgeous cityscape - wonderful lines and beautiful architecture - something I don't always think of in terms of cities. Fav

February 14th, 2017
Wonderful buildings.
February 14th, 2017
Wow, wonderful cityscape. That building on the left looks like it has pin holes for windows!

Wonderful B&W shot. I love city shots.
February 14th, 2017
@sangwann We have to plan around the time the sun comes through the 'canyons' created by the tall buildings. It just means going out a little earlier and it's challenging for the golden hour shots. But the shadows can be great!

@graemestevens @gigiflower Thanks for starting my day here with a laugh! And good question actually...I think that a good architect looks around to see how his or her building fits into the whole, and that is visible in some of the buildings. But I don't know which order these were built and suspect the Marina Towers (round ones) were more of a 'look at me' statement they were making.
February 14th, 2017
