This really needs a better title -- so glad I processed the image this afternoon as by tonight I can't stop coughing and feel terrible. And tomorrow morning is when they turn Chicago's river green...sadly I won't be going now. So this is another train capture for the Wabash & Adams station from Wednesday's walk with Andie @ukandie1 - thanks for your wonderful comments and favs on the spotted platform! And for putting my Grand Central shot from NY at the top of TT. Except for my cold, it was a great day!
Wow ! -- a stunning pov with all the leading lines merging to the tall building in the distance lovely cool tones as the train is engulfed by the tall buildigs and only to see the blue sky and light in the distance Absolutely wonderful ---fav !
this looks like a scene from a futuristic science fiction movie! the light and shadows are superbly captured and the lines of the tracks leading to what is that building, the mother ship? i love it! aces, miss taffy. aces!
This is my favourite so far in your wonderful train series! So much to look at! The lines and shadows just beautiful and that view right at the end of the track! Perfect positioning for your shot! Love it! I never thought I would be such a trainspotter! Lol! Huge Fav for this one!
Congrats on top of TT! Again! Hope you feel better soon - keep in the warm! When are you off to Iceland? You need to be better!
Wow so much to look at here Taffy, I love the sides of the buildings with the shadows and great combination with the train and the building in the background! Hope your feeling better soon!
Great shot- Threading the Needle came to mind- not sure it makes sense though. Anyway- I hope you feel better or at least well enough to take a quick peak at the green river.
I spent ages looking at this marvellous shot and could spend ages more. To my mind this shot has got the lot: strong leading lines; contrasting architectural styles, each with its own characteristics; light and shade and a tall narrow building at the apex of the pov to pull the eye right into it. Do hope you feel better soon, common though they are colds make the patient feel so darned lousy and miserable. BTW, why is the river going green?
@golftragic Thanks for such kinds (and specific) comments, Marnie! I appreciate it! River goes green on St. Patrick's day, but always on the Saturday closest to it before the 15th. Haven't left the sofa all day...365 has been my only contact with the outside world!
@taffy I'm surprised you made it to the sofa. I'm so rarely sick (just wear out bits) that I'm a real wimp when I am. I wondered about St Paddy's Day, but that was nearly a week away. What a terrific idea to green the river, amazed that no-one has (yet) thought of that hear. We have lots of Irish blood here too.
Congrats on top of TT! Again! Hope you feel better soon - keep in the warm! When are you off to Iceland? You need to be better!
