It was quite an amazing sunset -- the huge orb on a super calm mirror-like lake. I liked how the two plants looked like they were watching it together, reflecting on their day and new location, while the sun reflected on the surface of the lake. And while I reflected on whether or not the shot would come out!
@spair@mikegifford@jaynspain@steff Thanks Susan, Mike, Jayn and Steff! I do feel lucky to have this view for sunsets all summer! Steff, I think framing has to be almost all the way around for the theme. Take a look at Daniel's ( @danielwsc): http://365project.org/danielwsc/365/2013-06-02 -- what do you think? In a way the two plants serve as a frame -- Daniel's is two adjacent lines of the trees that frame, where the plants are parallel. Daniel, if you read this, what do you think?
@yaorenliu I don't know how it happened. I was focusing on one of the two plants, had it set at a very low ISO so the lens was as open as I could make it (f5). It was hard to look through the lensfinder as the light was so bright, so I couldn't see clearly (I was squinting) and was only looking at where to place the sun relative to the plants when I clicked the shutter. When I downloaded, it had that ring around it and the sun was white instead of the way it looked to the naked eye which was a very bright yellow throughout.
@kimshots We do have such great sunsets, Kim. Thanks for your comment and visit! We actually get picky and start saying things like, 'Oh, it's just okay." When on any scale, it really is beautiful.
