When Junko and I got to our hotel, we couldn't get our room for a few hours, so we headed out to the Bird Bath Bakery on Church Street -- yum! These skyscrapers were across the street, conveniently closing in on the tree and sun when I knelt down to shoot upward. I was thinking b&w when I shot the image, with this week's emphasis on form and other elements of b&w photography. The combination of forms interested me -- heavy buildings, light denuded tree branches, and sun-burst.
Nice! Reminds me of the neighborhoods surrounding Pratt where my eldest went to college. But I'm probably thinking of that because I just saw your shot of the Brooklyn Bridge! Great shot all the way around.
