Decided to put the China photos aside for what I hoped would be a shot of the supermoon. But instead, there was a large bank of clouds so that by the time the moon peeked out, it didn't look like a super anything. Tried to make the most of it.
@jyokota Over to Lighthouse Beach (which was harder to find than I'd thought -- I ended up in a residential enclave of about 6 mansions. They must have an amazing view every night! There were tons of families there, showing their kids this huge event so it was pretty festive even without the moon. And about 12 photographers in various spots.
@pamknowler Thanks Pam! The color came from simply moving the slider toward warm in LR. It was not this brilliant in person but I thought the slider was more effective than using any kind of a filter. @olivetreeann Ann, thought you might be interested in my response to Pam's comment about the color as you'd commented on color as well.
that would be the vantage point to take a shot of the full moon with a chance of an airplane passing in front of it. lovely colours and neat leading lines. supermoon is soooo overrated!
