@lyndemc It is very common over here to recognise significant events both good and bad. Brisbane lights up the Story Bridge, City Hall and the Victoria Bridge, Sydney lights up the Opera House (smart alecks).
BTW, Maggie and Vivvie (and their parents but who worries about them) arrived in Naperville on Friday night and are now Illinoisites. :-)
