Uh Oh!! by terryliv

Uh Oh!!

This glossy shield bug (I think) was only about 5mm long and he never stopped running through the leaves and twigs from the moment I found him. I took more than 200 shots as I chased him around - the first 60 were all out of focus or had bad motion blurring and were rubbish.
It wasn't until he reached the end of this leaf that he stopped long enough for me to get a couple of decent ones before he did a U-ey and was off again.

clearly you didn't upset him as the other name for shield beetle is "stink bug"!

Really cool bug and great capture! Kinda laughed when I read you took over 200 shots, because I feel like I always take too many shots (trying to get the best possible one), and I like knowing somebody took even more than me!!

Bugs can be so hard, I usually end up with their tail end. I like how he looks like he's riding the leaf. Great shot!
