Pied Stilt at Mutton Hole Wetlands

Day 17 - Normanton, Gulf Country, NWQ

According to my bird bible, this is an immature Pied Stilt which, also according to my bird bible, is found throughout the world. How boring is that?

I did like the visual interaction between the stilt and the water lily flowers though (and that's about as analytical as I can manage.)

Just 'cos their common doesn't detract from their beauty! I also love the combination of the stilt and water lilies, it makes a wonderful image.

It doesn't look bothered that you are there. It looks quite intent on finding food.
