One of the things I was planning for on this trip was lots of night sky photography opportunities. Unfortunately, the gods conspired against us. Firstly it was rain and clouds, then too close to the coast (humidity), then too many trees, then town lights and finally, by the time we got to Boulia, it was full moon.
So I was out early in the morning after the moon had gone down to get this shot of the road out of Boulia. Even then, there were a few clouds in the way.
The milky way looks completely different in the morning.
