Boulia - Neat as a Pin

Day 20 - Boulia, Channel Country, Western Queensland

Another example of a small outback town that is so neat and tidy.

To give O/S 365ers an idea of how isolated these places are, Boulia is 300kms south of Mt Isa, 360kms west of Winton and 1,720 kms from the state capital, Brisbane. It has a population of 230. The shire of Boulia covers over 61,000 sq kms and has a population of just 490. That's 1 person per 125 sq km - and Boulia is not the least populated shire in the state.

You can see the windmill from the sunset shot at the end of the street.
Looks like peak hour.

These places are amazing ! So few people! They must all know each other or be related to each other!

So small and such wide roads!

Great shot that does pick up the isolation and sparse population. The streets sure are tidy.
