Hi Clay - Why so Glum? by terryliv

Hi Clay - Why so Glum?

Day 23 - Diamantina Development Rd, Channel Country, SWQ

Thought it was interesting that the grazier loved his cattle so much that he took the time and trouble to name them. Even more interesting was that he ha zero imagination and gave them all the same name.
"Here Clay. Come on. Come here Clay". Stampede!!!!
How funny you are! I love that, as you're writing for us, you also seem to be entertaining yourself! Delightful!

Is this anywhere near Margaret's ranch?

@janeandcharlie Pretty close Jane. About 1200kms :-)
If you have a look at https://365project.org/terryliv/directors-cut-2/2017-06-22 we are heading down to Thargomindah in the bottom left. Margaret lives in the Boyne Valley about half way up that section of the coast north of Rainbow Beach that we completely bypassed.

Have you heard the Johnny Cash song, A boy named Sue? I think you could make up a song about a cow named Clay.

@littleconnie Not sure how the line about them rolling in the mud and the blood and the beer would go Connie.
