The Blue Faced Honeyeater always looks to be in a permanent state of nervous terror and that is how they behave. We have been trying for many years to gain their trust but it is pretty hard when they take off almost as soon as they see you.
I think the fact that the Rainbow Lorikeets beat them up all the time doesn't help their nervous disposition at all.
