The unmistakable skyline of Hong Kong.
Over here for the next two weeks visiting our daughter & son in law, our two grandsons, and our new grandson who we hadn't met before. Day 1 and we went for a walk around The Peak (Mt Victoria) on Hong Kong Island. You may think the day was smoggy but this is about as good as it gets here.
The tall building in the left centre is the IFC (International Finance Centre) where our son-in-law works. Located in the Central District of Hong Kong, IFC is the 2nd tallest building in Hong Kong and is referred to as The Claw. Kowloon is on the other side of Victoria Harbour. The white line in the centre distance is the location of the old airport (flying into the old airport was one of THE white knuckle flying experiences - sadly no longer possible). The low circular white roof building on the harbour foreshore is the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre.
What a shot! And thanks for the tour of the buildings. Very interesting. Looking forward to the photo of the new grandson. Good luck getting him away from his Nanna.
"Sail away" from Hong Kong on a recent cruise was one of the highlight of the trip for me. These buildings all lit up at night was so spectacular. Love this shot for its beauty and for the memories it evokes. Looking forward to seeing the new grandson too.
Can't wait to see the new grandson, and the older ones too! This is a great shot. Fun to see new places and I enjoyed learning about a couple of the buildings. Have a wonderful stay.
