Don't Panic . .  . . by terryliv

Don't Panic . . . .

. .It's not a cobra. Just a flower of one of the bromeliads (Vriesea Platynema x Daintree).

A bit light on today and I should have downloaded this and checked it before I was left with no other option.

Maybe it's a Triffid. Wooooooo!!!!!
Looks like it's pretty colours. Nice dof.

It looks like a carnivorous plant. Either way great shot of it. The Brom's have great colouring.

Pretty great focus on this - like your dof. The red on the bromeliad just pops out at you.

You younger whiper snappers probably wont know. :-)

@terryliv Yep Poppo, I have no idea what a triffid is! I could google of course :)

@terryliv I knew The Day of the Triffid but I still didn't know what a triffid was... I do now :)
September 25th, 2014
@bella_ss My wife pointed the flower out to me and said "What does that look like?" and I immediately said "A Triffid". She said "No. A Cobra" so I went with the Cobra angle.

@terryliv I'm of an age to and still do remember the films "Day of the Triffids" & "Night of the Triffids", didn't see it when it was first released in 1962 (62 years ago !!!) saw it some years later on TV;)
September 25th, 2014
@terryliv I agree with the cobra :)
September 25th, 2014
@terryliv I must confess I didn't know until now. I did just look it up embarrassed because I didn't know.
