Took a couple of hours time off to go to the Qld Brom Soc spring show. (Well a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do). Not as many displays or plants for sale as previous shows but there seemed to be many more people there and all buying boxes full of broms.
This is a display from one of the growers of a selection of his fancy leaf Vriesea hybrids. Probably my favourite broms.
Me? I kept my hands firmly holding onto the camera - right up to when I was leaving. Well I couldn't go home empty handed could I?

It's completely understandable how they're irresistible. I'd have chosen the lower left pink beauty from this selection although that darker variegated one next to its really nice too... Okay, I'll take them both.
