Simpson Desert Recovery Vehicle

If you break down in the middle of your Simpson Desert crossing, this is the vehicle that will come out from Birdsville and rescue you. And you had better make sure you have deep pockets before you give it a call.

It is a M A N and is an ex-German military supply truck. It has a 265 horsepower Deutz air-cooled V8 diesel engine.
