Central Bearded Dragon 1 by terryliv

Central Bearded Dragon 1

Found this fellow in amongst the sculptures at Mutonia Sculpture Park.

It is a Central Bearded Dragon and is obviously closely related to the Bearded Dragons we get on the coast except that they are brown instead of grey and their throat is black instead of red.

In the process of identifying him, I found out that they are a popular pet as they are more docile than their eastern counterparts.

That black throat is so intimidating, it makes him look quite scary. Amazing creature and shot.

Once again I need to apologise for the lack of comments. We are currently on the road again and wont be back home until late next week. I'll do as best I can with variable internet connections.

We have a similar reptile that is completely docile. People take them for pets, and then they die. I think being taken kills them somehow.
